Join the Seattle Commodores

We welcome your interest in becoming a member of the Seattle Seafair Commodores.

The primary purpose of the Seattle Seafair Commodores is to support Seattle Seafair Activities fundraising, represent the City of Seattle in community festivals, and support the various charities promoted by the Executive Committee. For over 65 years, all of our activities are focused on adding value to the lives of those in our community and being "ambassadors" for the City of Seattle in events throughout the Northwest. 

 

Eligibility for membership is open to anyone 21 years of age or older residing near Seattle and the greater Puget Sound area.

Here's what you can expect the from Seattle Commodores:

  • Pride and excitement of participation in many Seafair and various charity events promoted by the Executive Committee.

  • An opportunity to participate in functions and events that most people never get a chance to experience or enjoy - you'll have a Seattle insider's view to the city.

  • The satisfaction of "giving back" to people throughout Northwest communities.

  • Involvement of your family and friends in meaningful activities.

  • The development of lifelong friendships with great people like yourself.

  • Lots of fun!

 

Here's what is expected of you as a Seattle Commodore:

  • To be considered and maintain membership, you must be an individual of high morals, of sound financial means, and with no repeated criminal, business or professional misconduct.

  • You must commit to participating in a minimum of six (6) Seafair or various charity events throughout the year promoted by the Executive Committee, including at least one (1) out-of-town festival event.

  • Raise a minimum of $500 in cash or "like kind" donations for the Commodores annually, which can be achieved with fund-raising events and volunteer hours.

  • Attend breakfast meetings and other social events, whenever possible.
